I got my wisdom teeth taken out this morning, but surprisingly remembered a great deal of things that happened right before they knocked me out. I had been talking with the nurse, and I told her I was going to Ecuador, and she got all excited. Apparently her college roommate used to live in Ecuador and has a condo that she never uses that's on the ocean. She said she'd give me a call and tell me about renting it.
The best part of getting my wisdom teeth out was that I was apparently really chatty and cute in the recovery room. My mom describes me lying on the bed and as soon as she walked in saying "That wasn't that bad!" and the launching off into telling her (sometimes multiple times) all the stuff I remembered. I even told her that I had promised to remember a number of things. It was pretty classic. I thought it was hilarious when she told me all about it. I was remembering stuff, and completely awake. And thus far I haven't had any pain or anything. And I'm pretty not swollen, which is nice.
I started reading my Ecuador guidebook from the school last night. It has a TON of useful information for me to use. I'm glad they eventually gave it to us, because it's pretty chocked full of stuff we need to know. I feel quite a bit more secure about being there. I'm really afraid of appearing too rich, though, which would not be good. I want to take my video camera with me, but I don't want to be a theft target. Especially not with my new video camera.
I plan on emailing Angela Gross and asking some questions about stuff like that. Just a couple things, I guess.
Anyway. I just felt like updating. I don't even think anyone reads this yet.
Oh, and if you want to access my webpage that all this is linked to, go to www.googlepages.com/chrissygoestoecuador.
Ok, Caio.

Crazy Latin American Flgihts!
Work tonight was actually kinda fun. I was working with this girl, Keena, who I closed with sometime last week. She's really lax and fun. Like, she really doesn't care what I do. She told me just to tell her when I go on breaks, and whatever else doesn't matter. So we just sorta hung out because the floorset was done, and we were slow. So we were just kinda standing around. And then Kishawn came in to get her check, and she ended up staying around for the rest of the night. We all just started chatting and having a good time. It was the first time I really felt part of the group in this workplace. And we were having fun with the customers, and it was just...nice.
I've stopped messing up, too. So it's just easygoing from here on out. Now if they'd just give me some more hours/more money...
Tonight I started looking at flights around Latin America for when I'm there. I can get a flight from Quito to Bogota for $156. Which is good, if you ask me. I wanna go for Christmas break, since my parents are (hopefully) coming at the end of the program. So I've been looking for flights and stuff. Weirdness is, I can't fly directly from Bogota to Caracas...they'd take me to Panama first. And to fly from Quito to Lima, they have to take me to Panama. WTF? Weirdest thing yet is that to fly from Quito to Buenos Aires, La Paz, Santiago, etc. I'd have to stop in Lima. So I can't get a direct flight to Lima, but to go south I have to stop there? Don't get it....
Okay, Katie's telling me to watch all this Harry Potter stuff, so I'm going to oblige.

Countdown to Departure: Two Months!
In exactly two months I leave for the beautiful and fabulous nation of Ecuador! I thought it was appropriate for me to start this blog today, since it's so close!
So here's my plan:
--Make webpage
--Link Blog to webpage
--Link photo page to webpage
--Send massive email out with webaddress
--Be awesome.
So I'm going through a lot of intense feelings about this whole Ecuador thing, but I figure I can wait to write about that. Whenever I start to write about it, I get all...ewwwy.
So, hope everyone reading this is well. Sorry for all the Spanish everywhere. I sorta went EspaƱol crazy!!
