- I am a student of the world. I have a degree in Political Science from Kalamazoo College, focusing on human rights and globalization. I spent six months abroad during my junior year of college, studying international relations and Spanish in the vibrant capital city of Ecuador, Quito. Upon my return, I began to reevaluate my interests. I studied documentary filmmaking, which became my passion, and creative writing, which became my future. This fall I will attend George Mason University's MFA Program in Creative Writing, studying nonfiction writing. I write mostly about living life in my body. I write a fat acceptance blog (jigglybits.wordpress.com), where I discuss everything from fashion, to my biggest fears. I also write about social injustice and feminist issues. I'm obsessed with Harry Potter and love Glee. My favorite place in the world to be is on the shores of Lake Michigan. I have an older brother and an older sister (who has a baby on the way). I like to play board games in my spare time, and enjoy most types of music.
